I've got a couple great jars of hand butter and no idea what the amounts of the ingredients are.
Equipment
Most of these things you will already have in your kitchen. Although we set aside our
utensils and supplies in a seperate cabinet.
A Good glass measuring cup, one that can go into the microwave.
Measuring spoons
Glass eye dropper. I keep a dozen around if I can't get the smell of an essential oil
out of it, I will just use it for that oil.
A small kitchen scale
Stainless or glass mixing bowls. I Like stainless just for the drop facter.
Stainless wisk for mixing
Funnel
Strainer
Spatulas
Pestle and Mortar
A blender or food processor
Plastic molds, either candy or cookie, they are good because thay are small. A good
jar to start with is baby food jars. Try to keep all jars or molds under 2 OZ.
I heat most everything in the micro, if you use the stove top use a double boiler.
Now do not go out and buy all these tools, you will find you have most of them already. Besides you need something to buy when you get invited to those kitchen parties. ggg

In a tub filled with warm water squeeze the juice from the cut oranges and lemons into thw water. If you like you can slice the oranges and lemons and have them float on top of the water. Well my two boy's Ben and Cam will not eat their Carrots. As for Wayne'r I can take them or leave them, that is cooked. But carrots are rich in vitamin A and make a wonderful facial. You will need 1 or 2 cooked mashed carrots, 1/2 teaspoon wheat germ oil, 1 to 2 teaspoons honey and 2 drops geranium oil, you can leave out the geranium oil if you want. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and right on to your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes the rinse off with cool water. This recipe is good for teaching the kids to clean up the kitchen and gives you a reason to stay in the kitchen to make sure it is done right. Best of all, you get a FACIAL!!!

These Avocado recipes can use my favorite carrier oils almond oil, grape seed and sesame oil. As you will see you can use another oil if you do not have the one listed in a recipe. I have not used avocado oil before I've just used the avocado. It sounds like it is time to pick up the oil, it will last a lot longer in a recipe.

MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB
To make this BODY SCRUB

20 gr shea butter
6 gr beeswax
1 3/4 shooter glass of sea salt
Place olive oil, shea butter and beeswax in a Pyrex jug over double boiler and gently heat until beeswax and shea butter are just melted. Let it cool and then add sea salt. Store in a clean jar.
After showering and drying, massage the scrub all over the body (avoiding face and neck) and rinse. Skin will feel soft, moisturized and wonderfully stimulated.
There was no name sent in with this recipe but I would like to say Thank You and Best Wish to those of you from South Africa..
This recipe is for the hands. And is best used at night with gloves. As for Wayne'r, I do not ware gloves at night! But when I'm painting airplanes and cleaning out the spray guns with thinner my hands get real dryed out. After getting all of the paint off my hands and the thinner cleaned up. Time for a good Hand Oil. For this hand oil recipe you will need:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon alomed oil
1 vitamin E capsules
1 teaspoon glycerin
1 teaspoon honey
In the micro heat the honey until it is runny, do not let it boil. Then ad the oils, vitamin E, and glycerin. Stir until thoroughly combined, then store. I put mine in left over hotel shampoo bottles. I will make a bigger batch. Then I have some in the tool box at the hanger, shaving kit when I fly, and at home. You can ad an essential oil if you want.

If you have sensitive skin or a history of allergies, then by all means use a patch test to test your relative sensitivity to the new ingredients. To try out a new store bought cosmetic, a homemade cosmetic, or any new plant that you are unfamiliar with when making your own cosmetics, make a paste of the plant with water and apply to your forearm in an area about the size of a quarter. Let the paste dry there and apply a loose band-aide. If there is no reaction within twenty four hours, go ahead and use the plant or cosmetic. Apply creams and lotions to the forearm directly, apply band-aide for twenty four hours and check for reaction. By all means, keep all alien substances away from the eyes.
